Barbara Wagner
Wagner’s

Mrs. Wagner bred and finished her first champion in 1970 – CH Wagner’s Diamond Jim (FD-70). She is the breeder on five more champion Boxers including the beautiful CH Wagner’s Tzarina (FB-78). Tzarina is the dam of three champions – Wagner’s Musik Notiz (FB-81), Wagner’s Ambassador of Turo (FD-81), and Wagner’s Vision of Wilverday (BB-81) dam of the magnificent ACC Wagner Wilverday Famous Amos S87 LOM – BOB at ABC 4 times and the Regional twice. He qualified for the Top Twenty in 1989 by winning BOB at the ABC for the 4th time in 1988. Unfortunately he passed away in the spring of 1989. Amos – whose fans would pass out chocolate chip cookies at ringside – is the sire of 6 Sires & Dams of Merit making him a Legion of Merit sire. This son of CH Marquam Hill’s Traper of Turo S85 LOM sired 27 champions in only 40 litters. Among his 6 sires and dams of merit are:
Ch. Berena’s Gemini Splashdown S91 LOM, himself the sire of 37 champions and 10 producers;
Ch. Berena’s Tribute to Fa-Fa S91;
Ch. Jopa’s Twilight Romance D91;
Moss Wood’s Frosty Morn D96;
Ch. Tall Oak’s Desert Dazzler S93 (sire of three producers) and
Ch. Shieldmont’s Issues & Answers S90. Issues & Answers is the sire of Ch. Shieldmont’s Judge & Jury S91 who in turn sired Ch. Shieldmont’s Let’s Make a Deal S92 LOM.

Through Amos the “Wagner” breeding is behind several of the kennels currently exhibiting including: Holly Lane, Karmel, Telstar, Winmere, Sandhill, Sunchase, Rummer Run, Eedee K, Cynra, Kreyon, High River, Tradonalee, Carbara, Box O’Joy, X-Cel and Mephisto.

Mrs. Wagner has been an active member of Potomac Boxer Club for many years, serving as Secretary and Chief Steward. She is currently Show Chairman. She joined ABC in 1978 and became a Life member in 2002. Bobbie has been ABC Corresponding Secretary since 1993 and Show Chairman since our move to Maryland in 1995. Bobbie was Regional Board member for Potomac in 1995 and elected to the ABC Board from 1997 to 2002 and is also a member of the Top Twenty Committee. She is also past ABC Futurity Chairman (1993). “General” Bobbie makes all the arrangements, schedules all the meetings, and oversees everything during “ABC Week” from decorating the ballroom to parking and pooper-scooper patrol. She sold the show to Purina, making thousands for the ABCF in the process. She also started hanging pictures on the wall of the ballroom. She has often served as a steward since 1990 for both ABC and the Top 20. She was the Top 20 Breeder-Judge in 1997, won by Ch. Rummer Run’s Stardust (BB-96). For her “it’s all about the dogs”.
